自2026年4月1日起，加拿大對旅遊證件服務進行了一項重大變革：即「30天內保證完成，否則免費」(ㄉㄠˋ)的承諾。
Starting April 1, 2026, Canada introduced a major change to travel document services: the "30 days or free" guarantee.
如果標準護照申請未能在30個工作日內處理完畢，政府將自動發放全額退款。
If a standard passport application is not processed within 30 business days, the government will issue an automatic full refund.
這項政策旨在提高政府對公民的問責制和服務的可預測性。
This policy aims to improve accountability and service predictability for citizens.
30天的期限涵蓋從收到申請到印製護照的時間，但不包括郵寄時間，也不適用於某些特殊服務，如緊急需求或兒童難民旅遊證件。
The 30-day period covers the time from receipt to printing but excludes mailing time and certain specialized services like urgent requests or child refugee travel documents.
有趣的是，這項保證伴隨著近期護照費用的調漲，這是自2013年以來的首次。
Interestingly, this guarantee accompanies a recent passport fee increase, which is the first since 2013.
