2026年4月1日より、英国政府は家計への経済的支援を目的とした、生活費対策の新しい一連の措置を導入しました。
As of April 1, 2026, the UK government has introduced a new suite of cost-of-living measures designed to provide financial relief to households.
主な変更点として、エネルギー価格の上限が7％引き下げられ、各家庭で年間約117～150ポンドの節約となります。
A primary change includes a 7% reduction in the energy price cap, saving households around £117–£150 annually.
同時に、賃金も大幅に引き上げられ、21歳以上の国民生活賃金は時給12.71ポンドとなりました。
Simultaneously, wages have received a significant boost; the National Living Wage for those 21 and over has risen to £12.71 per hour.
18歳から20歳の若年労働者については、国民最低賃金が時給10.85ポンドに引き上げられ、年間を通じて大幅な収入増が見込まれます。
For younger workers aged 18–20, the National Minimum Wage has increased to £10.85 per hour, offering a substantial yearly lift.
さらに、国家年金は4.8％増額されて週241.30ポンドとなったほか、議論を呼んでいたユニバーサル・クレジットにおける「2人までの子供制限」が公式に撤廃されました。
Furthermore, the State Pension has grown by 4.8%, reaching £241.30 per week, while the controversial two-child limit on Universal Credit has been officially removed.
