On September 6, 2026, Arsenal kept their perfect Premier League record alive with a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
The match began dramatically, with Chelsea’s summer signing Morgan Rogers scoring just 77 seconds into the game.
This was the first time Arsenal’s defense had been breached all season.
Unfazed, the Gunners pushed forward, and Kai Havertz equalized against his former club in the 25th minute.
Shortly after halftime, captain Martin Ødegaard secured the winning goal following a clever dummy from Havertz.
Arsenal’s defense held firm under pressure, highlighted by David Raya’s vital save against Estevao in the 89th minute.
This victory is significant as it marks Arsenal's first Premier League comeback against Chelsea since 2011 and extends their unbeaten streak against the Blues to 12 matches.
Additionally, Arsenal matched a 32-year record by winning five consecutive home league games against their London rivals.
With three wins from three, Arsenal remains level at the top of the table with Manchester City, while the result handed new Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso his first dropped points of the campaign.
