On April 9, 2026, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Japan officially signed a new Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in Gaborone, Botswana.
於2026年4月9日，南部非洲發展共同體（SADC）與日本在波札納的嘉伯隆正式簽署了一份新的合作備忘錄（MoC）。
The new deal focuses on aligning with the SADC Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan 2020–2030 and Vision 2050.

Key pillars include enhancing infrastructure, such as digital transformation and energy, alongside economic development in areas like agriculture and mining.
