Hong Kong is preparing for the state funeral of its first Chief Executive, Tung Chee-hwa, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at 89.
中国人民政治協商会議の元副主席である董氏は国葬で弔われることになり、これは1997年以降、他に2人しか受けていない名誉である。
As a former vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Tung is being honored with a state funeral, an honor previously accorded to only two other figures since 1997.
式典は9月19日に香港殯儀館での通夜で始まり、20日には公式な追悼式と葬列が行われる。
