2026年6月5日より、カナダはサンピエール島・ミクロン島から船で到着する旅行者に対する渡航ルールを更新しました。
Starting June 5, 2026, Canada has updated its travel rules for those arriving by boat from Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.
フェリー、自家用船、または商用船でカナダへ渡航するビザ免除対象の外国籍者のほとんどは、今後、電子渡航認証（eTA）が必要となります。
Most visa-exempt foreign nationals traveling by ferry, private boat, or commercial vessel to Canada now require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
この変更は、国境警備を強化し、通常の入国審査を避けるための海上ルートの悪用を防ぐことを目的としています。
This change aims to improve border security and prevent the misuse of marine routes to avoid standard immigration checks.
費用は7カナダドルで、最長5年間有効です。
It costs $7 CAD, is valid for up to five years, and is generally processed quickly, though travelers should apply at least 72 hours before their trip.
