WHO condemns airstrike on medical supply warehouse in Ukraine

On the night of September 3β4, 2026, a primary World Health Organization (WHO) medical supply warehouse in Ukraineβs Kyiv region was struck by an airstrike.
While fortunately no personnel were harmed, the attack resulted in the loss of critical humanitarian supplies.
The WHO has since activated alternative storage arrangements to ensure that the delivery of life-saving medical aid continues despite the disruption.
This incident is not an isolated event; it represents a troubling pattern in the ongoing conflict.
According to the WHO, at least 20 humanitarian warehouses have been hit in 2026 alone, with 15 targeting health-related materials.
This attack marks the third time a WHO-managed facility has been struck in just three months, following similar incidents in Dnipro and the Kyiv area earlier this summer.
The organization emphasized that all its locations utilize 'deconfliction protocols,' where coordinates are shared with all warring parties to ensure safety.
These attacks severely threaten supply chains, making it increasingly difficult to provide essential healthcare to those in frontline and hard-to-reach areas, ultimately jeopardizing the lives of the most vulnerable.
