The 2026 NCAA Baseball Super Regional between the University of North Carolina (UNC) and the University of Southern California (USC) has kept fans on the edge of their seats.
As the No. 5 national seed, UNC hosted this intense best-of-three series at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium.
After two games, the series is locked in a 1-1 tie, forcing a high-stakes deciding Game 3 to determine who heads to the College World Series in Omaha.
USC stunned UNC in the opener, overcoming a 5-1 deficit with a massive grand slam by Dean Carpentier to win 9-5.
However, the Tar Heels bounced back in Game 2 with a commanding 4-0 shutout, led by pitcher Jason DeCaro’s incredible two-hit performance.
While UNC is a frequent visitor to the College World Series, USC is hungry for their first trip since 2001.
The winner moves on to the ultimate stage in college baseball, proving once again that momentum is everything in the Super Regionals.
