Philadelphia Mayor Opens New Neighborhood Resource Center
Philadelphia is transforming its approach to local governance by launching two distinct types of centers.
The City's recent Neighborhood Resource Centers (NRCs) are specifically designed to support individuals returning from incarceration.
Under the Office of Reentry Partnerships, these centers function as a one-stop shop for workforce development, digital literacy, and pardon services.
Mayor Cherelle L.
Parker recently celebrated the expansion of these sites, noting their vital role in reducing recidivism by providing direct support in neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, the city is also establishing 11 Neighborhood Community Action Centers (NCACs).
Staffed by the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood and Community Engagement, these centers aim to make municipal government easier to access.
