In a historic shift for space exploration, SpaceX has transformed how humans reach the stars.
Following the retirement of the Space Shuttle program in 2011, the United States relied on Russian rockets to transport astronauts.
This changed with NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, a partnership that ushered in a new era of private-sector innovation.
Using the reusable Falcon 9 rocket and the automated Crew Dragon spacecraft, SpaceX successfully restored domestic launch capabilities.
Once in orbit, the Crew Dragon docks autonomously with the International Space Station (ISS), where astronauts live and work for months at a time.
The research conducted on the ISS—ranging from medical breakthroughs to space-grown crops—is vital for human progress.
By managing these routine rotations, SpaceX provides a stable foundation for NASA’s long-term goals.
These missions serve as a critical "springboard," preparing humanity for future exploration to the Moon and Mars while ensuring that the ISS remains a hub for scientific discovery and technological development.
