As of June 2026, the Global Health EDCTP3 has launched a major €21 million investment to fight diarrheal diseases in sub-Saharan Africa.

This initiative supports four innovative projects—CARE-Africa, PRoRota, HUNADIA, and TARGET—aimed at improving health outcomes in a region facing increased risks from climate change, malnutrition, and poor sanitation.
