New International Compact Aims to Improve Access to Diagnostics

In April 2026, the G7 One Health Summit in Lyon, France, marked the official launch of the Global One Health Diagnostics Access Compact (GO-Dx).
2026年4月，法國里昂召開的G7「全健康」(One Health)高峰會，標誌著「全球全健康診斷獲取協議」(GO-Dx)的正式啟動。
This international initiative brings together over 20 partners from civil society, the private sector, and scientific fields to tackle a critical global issue: unequal access to diagnostic testing.
這項國際倡議匯集了來自民間社會、私營部門及科學領域的20多個合作夥伴，旨在解決一項嚴峻的全球議題：診斷檢測獲取不平等。
Currently, information remains siloed between human, animal, and environmental health sectors, which often results in delayed medical treatments, the unnecessary use of antibiotics, and slow responses to disease outbreaks.
目前，人類、動物與環境健康領域的資訊依然孤立，這常導致醫療救治延誤、抗生素不必要的使用，以及對疾病爆發的反應遲緩。
To address this, the GO-Dx Compact focuses on four primary goals: ensuring universal access to quality testing tools, promoting responsible stewardship of diagnostic resources, boosting investment in research for low-resource settings, and integrating these tools into broader health policy.
為了應對這些問題，GO-Dx協議聚焦於四項主要目標：確保普及優質檢測工具、推廣負責任的診斷資源管理、增加對資源匱乏地區的研究投資，並將這些工具納入更廣泛的健康政策中。
By adopting a One Health approach, the initiative recognizes that environmental and animal health are deeply linked to human wellbeing.
透過採用「全健康」方針，該倡議認可環境與動物健康與人類福祉有著深刻的連結。
With significant financial backing, including major commitments from the World Bank and the European Commission, the Compact aims to build resilient, science-driven health systems.
