量詞與不可數名詞

學習英文中如何使用量詞（measure words，如 cup, glass, slice 等）來計算不可數名詞，並結合 there is/are 的存在句表達。

在英文中，名詞分為 可數名詞（可以直接數的名詞，如 book）與 不可數名詞（不能直接數的名詞，如 water, coffee, bread）。要計算不可數名詞的數量，必須在名詞前面加上量詞與 of：

對於 countable nouns（可數名詞），可以直接使用數字進行計算，有單數與複數形式：

There is a book on the desk.

書桌上有一本書。

There are two books on the desk.

書桌上有兩本書。

對於 uncountable nouns（不可數名詞），則必須使用 measure word（量詞）：

There is a cup of coffee on the table.

桌子上有一杯咖啡。
