The gaming industry is in mourning following the tragic death of Claude Guillemot, a co-founder of Ubisoft, who passed away at 69 in a plane crash on June 19, 2026.
這起事故發生在法國拉博勒（La Baule），當時他搭乘的雙引擎飛機在接近當地機場時墜毀，導致他與飛行教練雙雙罹難。
The incident occurred in La Baule, France, when the twin-engine aircraft he was traveling in crashed while approaching the local airport, claiming both his life and that of his flight instructor.
克勞德是1986年共同創立育碧的五兄弟之一，曾是公司的營運支柱。
Claude, one of five brothers who founded Ubisoft in 1986, served as the company’s operational backbone.
雖然他的兄弟伊夫（Yves）擔任執行長，但克勞德在幕後扮演了關鍵角色，將育碧打造為全球巨擘，催生了《刺客教條》（As-sas-sin's Creed）與《極地戰嚎》（Far Cry）等標誌性系列。
