Missouri judge upholds new US House voting districts
2026年3月12日，密蘇里州巡迴法院法官決定維持由共和黨重劃的國會選區地圖，使其得以在2026年中期選舉前推行。
On March 12, 2026, a Missouri circuit court judge decided to uphold a new Republican-drawn congressional map, allowing it to move forward before the 2026 midterm elections.
該地圖由共和黨控制的州議會在2025年9月通過，隨後面臨由美國公民自由聯盟（ACLU）支持的選民所提出的重大法律挑戰。
The map, passed by the Republican-controlled General Assembly in September 2025, faced a major legal challenge from voters supported by the ACLU.
原告主張該地圖為違憲的傑利蠑螈（ㄐㄧㄝˊㄌㄧˋㄖㄨㄥˊㄩㄢˊ，指操弄選區劃分），並特別指出第5選區中堪薩斯市（Kansas City）遭到切割的情形。
Plaintiffs argued the map was an unconstitutional gerrymander, specifically pointing to the splitting of Kansas City in the 5th District.
然而，亞當·凱恩（Adam Caine）法官裁定，原告未能證明該地圖違反州憲法。
However, Judge Adam Caine ruled that the plaintiffs did not prove the map violated the state constitution.
目前，關於密蘇里州是否能在十年中期重新劃分選區的另一案件，正等待密蘇里州最高法院審理。
A separate case regarding whether Missouri can redraw districts mid-decade is currently pending before the Missouri Supreme Court.
