GCash, the nation's leading mobile wallet, is officially moving away from SMS-based One-Time Passwords (OTPs) in favor of a more secure in-app authentication system.
網路犯罪份子常利用釣魚連結與 SIM 卡更換攻擊來攔截這些代碼，藉此非法存取用戶帳戶。
Cybercriminals have frequently used phishing links and SIM-swap attacks to intercept these codes and gain unauthorized access to user accounts.
透過轉換至安全的推播通知，GCash 確保只有該裝置上經過驗證的帳戶所有者才能授權交易。
By switching to secure push notifications, GCash ensures that only the verified account owner on their specific device can authorize transactions.
