On August 29, 2026, a devastating flash flood hit Grand Canyon National Park after intense monsoon storms dropped nearly an inch of rain in just 30 minutes.
先前的野火燃燒區域所產生的逕流使得災情雪上加霜，導致洪水強勢沖刷過亮天使峽谷(Bright Angel Canyon)與幻影牧場(Phantom Ranch)。
The situation was worsened by runoff from a previous wildfire area, causing powerful floods to surge through Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch.
不幸的是，目前已確認兩人罹難，搜救隊正全力搜尋約15名失蹤者。
Tragically, two deaths have been confirmed, and search teams are currently working to locate approximately 15 people who remain missing.
國家公園管理局已透過空運成功撤離62名徒步旅行者，但基礎設施損毀嚴重。
The National Park Service successfully evacuated 62 hikers via air, but the damage to infrastructure is severe.
