加拿大已正式啟動「全國學校供餐計畫」，這項具有里程碑意義的舉措，旨在為全國學生提供營養餐點。
Canada has officially launched its National School Food Program, a landmark initiative designed to provide nutritious meals to students across the country.
在此之前，加拿大是七大工業國集團（G7）中，唯一缺乏聯邦層級學校供餐策略的國家。
Before this program, Canada stood alone among G7 nations as the only country without a federal school food strategy.
該計畫於2024年預算中宣布，承諾投入10億加元，現已成為常設項目，並將自2029年起，每年提供2.166億加元的經費。
Announced in Budget 2024 with a $1 billion commitment, the program is now a permanent fixture, with ongoing annual funding of $216.6 million starting in 2029.
聯邦政府透過與全加13個省與領地合作，目標是每年額外為40萬名兒童提供餐點。
By collaborating with all 13 provinces and territories, the federal government aims to feed an additional 400,000 children every year.
