CERN to Lead New Open-Access Scientific Publishing Platform
為了大力提升科學透明度，歐洲核子研究組織（CERN）獲選主導「歐洲開放研究」（Open Research Europe, ORE）的新階段。
In a major boost for scientific transparency, CERN has been selected to lead a new phase of Open Research Europe (ORE).
ORE最初由歐盟委員會（European Commission）於2021年創立，旨在為研究人員提供分享發現的平台，且無須支付商業期刊通常收取的費用。
Originally launched in 2021 by the European Commission, ORE provides a venue for researchers to share findings without the traditional fees associated with commercial journals.
至2026年秋季，該平台將擴大服務範圍，歡迎來自11個歐洲國家的研究人員。
By autumn 2026, the platform will expand its reach, welcoming researchers from 11 European nations.
CERN將利用其在管理Zenodo等大型數據平台方面的深厚專業知識，以開源軟體提供技術骨幹。
CERN will supply the technical backbone using open-source software, leveraging its deep expertise in managing large-scale data platforms like Zenodo.
文章在初步審查後立即發表，隨後進行透明的發表後同儕審查流程，審查者的身分皆公開。
Articles are published immediately after initial checks, followed by a transparent post-publication peer review process where reviewer identities are public.
這項倡議符合鑽石開放取用（Diamond Open Access）運動，目標是將科學交流的控制權歸還給學術界。
