2026年3月10日，庭野和平財團宣布，阿沙寧卡族（Ashaninka）傑出的精神領袖班基·皮亞科（Benki Piyãko）將獲頒第43屆庭野和平獎。
On March 10, 2026, the Niwano Peace Foundation announced that Benki Piyãko, a prominent spiritual leader of the Ashaninka people, will receive the 43rd Niwano Peace Prize.
皮亞科以巴西的阿皮瓦查（Apiwtxa）原住民領地為基地，因其在環境保護及維護原住民文化方面的貢獻而備受讚譽。
Based in Brazil's Apiwtxa Indigenous Territory, Piyãko is celebrated for his dedicated work in environmental protection and the preservation of Indigenous culture.
透過他創立的尤連卡·塔索倫齊（Yorenka Tasorentsi）學院，他領導了各項土地永續管理與植樹造林的計畫，有效動員青年保護亞馬遜雨林。
Through his Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute, he has led initiatives in sustainable land management and reforestation, effectively mobilizing youth to protect the Amazon rainforest.
頒獎典禮將於2026年5月12日在東京舉行。
