New Urgent Care Center Opens at UBC Campus in Vancouver
一所嶄新的緊急與初級照護中心（UPCC）於2026年3月31日在溫哥華的UBC校園正式開幕。
A new Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) officially opened its doors at the UBC campus in Vancouver on March 31, 2026.
該中心位於農藝路（Agronomy Road）6165號，為學生、教職員工及當地居民提供及時的非緊急醫療服務。
Located at 6165 Agronomy Road, the facility provides timely, non-emergency care for students, staff, faculty, and local residents.
為了減輕醫院急診室的負擔，該中心的營運時間為週一至週六上午8點至晚上10點，週日及假日則為上午9點至下午5點。
Designed to reduce pressure on hospital emergency departments, the center operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Sundays and holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
UPCC採用跨領域的團隊照護模式，處理需要在12到24小時內獲得關注的緊急健康問題，例如輕微感染、縫合傷口及扭傷。
Using an interdisciplinary, team-based care model, the UPCC handles urgent health issues that require attention within 12 to 24 hours, such as minor infections, stitches, and sprains.
該中心配備了X光服務，預計每年可支援約58,000人次的門診。
The center is equipped with X-ray services and aims to support about 58,000 patient visits annually.
值得注意的是，UPCC並非急診室。
Importantly, the UPCC is not an emergency room.
對於面臨生命威脅的狀況，如嚴重創傷或胸痛，民眾仍應撥打911或前往醫院急診室。
Those facing life-threatening situations, like severe trauma or chest pain, should continue to use 911 or visit a hospital emergency department.
該中心每年的營運預算超過600萬美元，並計畫在未來幾年內協助數千名民眾找到固定的初級醫療照護提供者。
With an annual operating budget of over $6 million, the centre also intends to help thousands of people find a regular primary care provider over the coming years.
