In a heartening display of community spirit, Victoria’s beloved FernFest made a triumphant comeback on June 13, 2026.
当初、フェルンウッド・ネイバーフッド・ハウス（FNH）が、能力上の制約を理由に長年続いてきたこの伝統行事の中止を今年初めに発表しましたが、地元の住民や経営者たちは、イベントが消滅することを拒みました。
After the Fernwood Neighbourhood House (FNH) announced the cancellation of the long-standing tradition earlier this year due to capacity constraints, local residents and business owners refused to let the event disappear.
その後に続いたのは、フェスティバルを救うための大規模な草の根キャンペーンでした。
What followed was a massive grassroots campaign to save the festival.
市議会議員たちの協力と開発業者からの民間資金により、チームは伝統を守り抜くために必要な資源を確保しました。
With the help of city councilors and private funding from developers, the team secured the resources needed to keep the tradition alive.
フェスティバルには140人以上の職人、美味な屋台、そしてルクウェン族の伝統舞踊団のパフォーマンスを含むライブ音楽が揃いました。
The festival featured over 140 artisans, delicious food vendors, and live music, including a performance by the lək̓ʷəŋən Traditional Dancers.
