事件は午前11時35分頃、建物から武装した人物が発砲しているとの通報を警察が受けたことで始まりました。
The incident began around 11:35 a.m. when police received reports of an armed individual firing from a building.
悲しいことに、警察官のモハメド・ラミネ・ベンレドゥアン（34）が殉職しました。
Tragically, police officer Mohamed Lamine Benredouane, 34, lost his life in the line of duty, marking the first such death of a Montreal officer in 24 years.
