SpaceX Launches New Mission for U.S. Space Defense Agency

2026年7月16日、スペースX社はカリフォルニア州のヴァンデンバーグ宇宙軍基地から「トランシェ1・トランスポート・レイヤーE」ミッションの打ち上げを成功させた。
On July 16, 2026, SpaceX successfully launched the Tranche 1 Transport Layer E mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
ファルコン9ロケットを使用したこのミッションでは、米国宇宙開発局（SDA）のために21基の衛星が低地球軌道へ投入された。
Using a Falcon 9 rocket, the mission carried 21 satellites into low-Earth orbit for the U.S.
これらの衛星は、強靭でグローバルな軍事通信とミサイル追跡を提供するために設計されたネットワーク「増殖型戦闘員宇宙アーキテクチャ（PWSA）」の重要な一部である。

These satellites are a critical part of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), a network designed to provide resilient, global military communications and missile tracking.

This launch was particularly significant as it ended a nine-month pause in SDA operations, which had been necessary to fix hardware and software issues identified in earlier satellites.

The SDA is shifting from traditional, large satellites to a network of smaller ones in lower orbits, making the system more difficult for adversaries to disrupt.
