2026年6月15日、ウッタル・プラデーシュ州ジェワールにあるノイダ国際空港（NIA）が商業旅客便の運用を開始し、インドの航空産業に新しい時代が到来しました。
A new era in Indian aviation began on June 15, 2026, as Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, officially opened for commercial passenger flights.
首都圏（NCR）の重要な第2の拠点として機能するこの最新鋭の施設は、デリーのインディラ・ガンディー国際空港の混雑を緩和することを目的としています。
Serving as a vital second hub for the National Capital Region (NCR), this state-of-the-art facility aims to ease congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
心温まる取り組みとして、このプロジェクトのために土地を提供した170人の地元農家の人々が、最初の搭乗客として空の旅を楽しみました。
In a heartwarming gesture, 170 local farmers who contributed land for the project were among the first passengers to take to the skies.
現在、空港は1本の滑走路を備え、年間1200万人の旅客処理能力を持っています。
Currently, the airport features one runway with a capacity of 12 million passengers annually.
しかし、長期的な展望は野心的であり、4本の滑走路と7000万人の旅客能力を備えた巨大な物流拠点へと成長する計画です。
However, the long-term vision is ambitious, with plans to grow into a massive logistics hub featuring four runways and a capacity for 70 million travelers.
専用の貨物施設を備え、ヤムナ・エクスプレスウェイへの戦略的な近接性を誇るNIAは、ウッタル・プラデーシュ州西部の経済成長を促す重要な原動力となる見込みで、近いうちに国際線も就航する予定です。
With dedicated cargo facilities and strategic proximity to the Yamuna Expressway, NIA is set to become a significant driver of economic growth for western Uttar Pradesh, with international flights expected to launch soon.
