INSマルワン」は老朽化したアベイ級コルベットに代わるもので、先進的なセンサー、軽量魚雷、対潜ロケットを備えたより近代的なプラットフォームを提供します。
The INS Malwan replaces the aging Abhay-class corvettes, providing a more modern platform equipped with advanced sensors, lightweight torpedoes, and anti-submarine rockets.
その艦名は、チャトラパティ・シヴァージー・マハラージの海上における功績と深い歴史的つながりを持つマハーラーシュトラ州の沿岸町マルワンに由来しています。
Its name pays homage to the coastal town of Malwan in Maharashtra, a site with deep historical ties to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's maritime legacy.
