In recent years, Armenia has gained significant international recognition for its commitment to democratic processes.
その好例となったのが、2026年6月7日に行われた議会選挙です。
A prime example occurred following the parliamentary elections held on June 7, 2026.
ニコル・パシニャン首相率いる「市民契約」党が約49.8%の票を獲得して勝利し、議会の過半数を維持しました。
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party secured a victory with approximately 49.8% of the vote, maintaining its parliamentary majority.
欧州連合（EU）や米国をはじめとする国際的な指導者たちは、この結果を主権と民主主義の勝利として称賛しました。
International leaders, including those from the European Union and the United States, praised the outcome as a triumph for sovereignty and democracy.
南カフカス地域における地政学的な圧力にもかかわらず、欧州安全保障協力機構（OSCE）などの監視団は、選挙が順調に運営され、非常に二極化した選挙戦の中でも有権者に真の選択肢を提供したと指摘しました。
Despite geopolitical pressures in the South Caucasus, observers from organizations like the OSCE noted that the elections were well-run and provided voters with genuine alternatives, even amidst a highly polarized campaign.
国内の一部の野党からは選挙戦の遂行について懸念の声も上がりましたが、国際社会は、貿易、エネルギー、地域的な安定における協力関係の重要性を強調し、強靭な民主的統治を目指すアルメニアの道を引き続き支援しています。
While some domestic opposition groups raised concerns about campaign conduct, the international community continues to support Armenia’s path toward resilient democratic governance, emphasizing the importance of its continued partnership in trade, energy, and regional stability.
