Declared on May 17, 2026, this represents the country's 17th experience with the virus.
7月中旬の時点で、世界保健機関(WHO)はこの状況を「国際的に懸念される公衆衛生上の緊急事態」に指定しており、感染者数は2,100人を超え、死者数は828人に達しています。
As of mid-July, the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified the situation as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, reporting over 2,100 cases and 828 deaths.
今回の流行はブンディブギョ・ウイルスによるもので、現在、認可されたワクチンや特効薬が存在しないため、特に困難な状況にあります。
This particular outbreak is caused by the Bundibugyo virus, which is especially challenging because there is currently no licensed vaccine or specific treatment available.
ウイルスは北東部のイトゥリ州を超えて拡大し、5つの州に影響を及ぼしているほか、国境を越えてウガンダにまで達しており、フランスやドイツといった遠方でも孤立した症例が報告されています。
The virus has moved beyond the northeastern Ituri Province, impacting five provinces and crossing international borders into Uganda, with isolated cases reported as far as France and Germany.
