世界のアニメコミュニティは、2026年7月12日、93歳で亡くなったベテランプロデューサーで監督の鷺巣政安氏の訃報に悲しみに包まれている。
The global anime community is in mourning following the loss of veteran producer and director Masayasu Sagisu, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 93.
日本アニメーションの基礎を築いた人物である鷺巣氏は、黄金期である昭和時代にアニメというメディアの形を作り上げる上で中心的な役割を果たした。
A foundational figure in Japanese animation, Sagisu was instrumental in shaping the medium during the golden Showa era.
主に旧称TCJアニメーションであるエイケンで働き、『鉄人28号』、『8マン』、『サザエさん』など、一時代を象徴する名作の制作に携わった。
Working primarily with Eiken, formerly known as TCJ Animation, he helped produce iconic titles that defined a generation, including Tetsujin 28, 8 Man, and Sazae-san.
鷺巣氏はクリエイティブな家系でもあり、兄は漫画家の牛尾宗一氏、甥は『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』の仕事で知られる有名な作曲家の鷺巣詩郎氏である。
Sagisu was also part of a creative family legacy; his brother was the manga artist Sōji Ushio, and his nephew is the celebrated composer Shiro Sagisu, best known for his work on Neon Genesis Evangelion.
