Solenis breaks ground on new manufacturing plant in China
Solenis, a global leader in water and hygiene solutions, has officially begun construction on a new manufacturing plant in Beihai, Guangxi Province, China.
With an investment of RMB 250 million, this facility aims to support the region's massive pulp and paper industry.
Scheduled to begin operations in Q2 2027, the plant will produce 60,000 tonnes of critical papermaking materials annually, including polymers, defoamers, and silica.
This facility is a strategic addition to Solenis' global footprint.
By establishing a presence in Guangxi—China's largest papermaking hub—the company can shorten supply chains, reduce carbon emissions, and serve customers in Western China and Southeast Asia more efficiently.
This project aligns with the company's goal of operational resilience and sustainability, offering local solutions to help manufacturers optimize energy and resource use.
As the first large-scale U.S. investment of its kind in the region, the Beihai site will also foster local economic growth through job creation and industrial development.
This expansion highlights Solenis' commitment to strengthening its production capabilities in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific market.
