In July 2026, professional golfer Haeran Ryu etched her name into the history books with an extraordinary performance.
The 25-year-old rising star secured back-to-back major championships in a whirlwind 13-day period, a feat rarely seen in professional golf.
Ryu first claimed the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship on June 29, followed by a dramatic victory at The Amundi Evian Championship on July 12.
Her performance at the Evian was particularly historic; during the third round, she shot an 11-under 60, the lowest score ever recorded in an LPGA major.
Despite a challenging final round where she forced a playoff against Brooke Henderson, Ryu held her composure to clinch the win on the first playoff hole.
These victories serve as her first major titles and bring her total LPGA win count to five since 2023.
With the season defined by the intense rivalry between Ryu and Nelly Korda, fans are eagerly anticipating the final major of the year.
Often praised for her exceptional ball-striking, Ryu’s dominant summer has solidified her status as one of the most exciting talents in the sport.
