Winners Announced for 2026 Independent Games Festival
The 2026 Independent Games Festival (IGF) recently took place on March 12 in San Francisco, celebrating the most creative and boundary-pushing independent games.
Often called the "Sundance of the video game world," the IGF acts as a vital platform for new developers.
This year's top honor, the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, went to "Titanium Court," a clever mix of strategy and humor.
Its developer, AP Thomson, made history by winning this prestigious award for the second year in a row.
Other notable winners included "Eclipsium" for its visual art and "Baby Steps," which won for its unique audio.
The ceremony also spotlighted the Nuovo Award, which celebrates projects that challenge traditional gaming conventions, and the WINGS Award, which supports work by women and gender-marginalized creators.
