The popular manga series Kagurabachi, created by Takeru Hokazono, has recently faced intermittent pauses in its weekly serialization.
As of September 2026, fans have noted several hiatuses caused by the creator’s health.
These interruptions follow a more significant extended hiatus earlier in the summer, mandated by Shueisha to ensure Hokazono could maintain a sustainable production pace.
This ongoing situation highlights a broader industry conversation about the sustainability of the weekly manga schedule and the necessity of balancing creator well-being with the demands of a massive global fanbase.
