A new Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) officially opened its doors at the UBC campus in Vancouver on March 31, 2026.
バンクーバーのUBCキャンパスに、新しい緊急・プライマリケアセンター（UPCC）が2026年3月31日、正式にオープンしました。
Located at 6165 Agronomy Road, the facility provides timely, non-emergency care for students, staff, faculty, and local residents.
アグロノミー・ロード6165番地に位置するこの施設は、学生、教職員、および地域住民に対して、タイムリーかつ緊急ではない医療を提供します。
Using an interdisciplinary, team-based care model, the UPCC handles urgent health issues that require attention within 12 to 24 hours, such as minor infections, stitches, and sprains.
学際的でチームベースのケアモデルを採用し、軽微な感染症、縫合、捻挫など、12時間から24時間以内に処置が必要な緊急の健康問題に対処します。
The center is equipped with X-ray services and aims to support about 58,000 patient visits annually.

Importantly, the UPCC is not an emergency room.

Those facing life-threatening situations, like severe trauma or chest pain, should continue to use 911 or visit a hospital emergency department.
