Present Habits

Learn how to describe daily routines and active habits in Chinese using the standard SVO sentence structure.

Chinese verbs are extremely regular and do not conjugate for tense, person, or number. To talk about present habits, routines, or general facts, simply follow the Subject-Verb-Object (SVO) pattern:

I read a book.

For interactive sports like tennis or badminton, Chinese uses the active verb (dǎ - to play/strike/hit):

網球

I play tennis.
