〜ていますか

Learn how to ask questions about actions currently happening using ていますか, and practice answering them.

To ask about ongoing actions in Japanese, change the verb into the 〜ています form and add か:

パンを食べていますか?

Are you eating bread?

To answer continuous questions, use 〜ています for affirmative answers and 〜ていません for negative answers:

いいえ、食べていません。

No, I am not.
