〜が (Identifying the Subject)

Learn how to ask and answer who or which one does something using the subject particle が to introduce specific focus information.

In Japanese, when a question word like (dare, who) is the subject of the sentence, it must be marked by the particle (ga), not は (wa). In the response, the person who is the subject must also be marked with because it is introducing new, specific focus information that directly answers the 'who' question.
