Steel Ball Run anime adaptation premieres globally on Netflix
The highly anticipated anime adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run has officially arrived.
Produced by the acclaimed David Production studio, the series made its global debut on Netflix on March 19, 2026, with a special 47-minute premiere titled 1st STAGE.
This project, which was first teased during the JOJODAY event in 2025, brings together veteran staff, including director Toshiyuki Kato and composer Yugo Kanno, to adapt Hirohiko Araki’s iconic manga.
Set in 1890, the story follows Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli as they participate in the Steel Ball Run, a grueling 6,000 km transcontinental horse race across the United States.
Whether you are a long-time fan of the franchise or a newcomer, the race for glory is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
