Toei Company Launches New Gaming Division

On April 21, 2026, the legendary Japanese entertainment giant Toei Company, famous for iconic series like Dragon Ball and One Piece, officially launched its new gaming division, Toei Games.

As part of its long-term strategy, the Toei New Wave 2033 initiative, the company aims to establish gaming as a core business pillar alongside its film and television production.

By partnering with domestic and international creators, the company intends to bring fresh, innovative concepts to the global market.

The division plans to launch its initial titles on PC via Steam, with console releases for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox expected in the future.

To mark this new era, Toei collaborated with developer Kairosoft to design a logo featuring a nostalgic pixel-art animation of their famous opening film waves.

The first titles from this division are set to be unveiled on April 24, 2026, signaling a major shift in how the industry giant engages with global audiences through interactive storytelling.
