On June 10, 2026, it was officially announced that the popular light novel series, The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan, is getting a television anime adaptation scheduled for 2027.
Produced by animation studio HOTLINE, the series will air on the Agaru Anime programming block across 28 stations in Japan.
The anime will be directed by Yūsuke Suzuki, with Yūto Uemura voicing the protagonist, Alus Reigin.
After years of fighting powerful Fiends to protect humanity, he longs for a peaceful life and tries to retire.
To celebrate the anime news, fans can also look forward to a new prequel manga, The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan Zero, arriving in winter 2026.
