The 2026 Israel Festival begins today

The 65th annual Israel Festival is set to captivate audiences this summer, running from July 28 to August 20, 2026.

This year’s program is profoundly shaped by themes of resilience and recovery, reflecting the national mood.

The festival kicks off with a breathtaking free aerial performance in Jerusalem’s Hinnom Valley, where high-wire artists will soar above the landscape, accompanied by a live orchestra and choir—a tribute to Philippe Petit’s legendary 1987 crossing.

A poignant highlight includes a concert by Sagui Dekel-Chen on August 10 at Kibbutz Nir Oz, where he will perform songs composed during his time in captivity.

While centered in Jerusalem, the festival aims to reach communities across the country, particularly those in the Western Negev and Northern Israel.

With tickets ranging from NIS 50 to NIS 140 and discounts available for students, soldiers, and seniors, the festival remains a vital cultural pillar, bringing art and healing to the public during a challenging time.
