Taiwan's technological sector is currently experiencing a historic boom.
As of September 2026, the nation’s three major science parks—Hsinchu, Central Taiwan, and Southern Taiwan Science Park—reported a record-breaking revenue of NT$3.54 trillion for the first half of the year.
This represents a 29.27% increase compared to the previous year, the strongest growth in nearly a decade.
The primary force behind this success is the explosive global demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC).
Southern Taiwan Science Park led the pack in total revenue, while Hsinchu Science Park showed the fastest momentum.
With full-year projections reaching NT$7.56 trillion, these parks remain a vital economic engine, accounting for over 20% of Taiwan’s GDP.
To sustain this momentum, the government is focusing on "spreading AI dividends" to smaller firms while ensuring infrastructure stability, such as reliable water and electricity supplies.
As AI continues to transform the global economy, Taiwan’s science parks are positioning themselves at the very heart of this technological revolution.
