Exciting news for JRPG fans!
At Anime Expo 2026, Atlus officially revealed that the acclaimed animation studio MAPPA will produce all animated cutscenes for the upcoming game, Persona 4 Revival.
Known for their high-octane work on hits like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, MAPPA’s involvement marks a significant upgrade for the franchise.
While previous entries in the series relied on different studios for specific sequences, MAPPA is tasked with crafting every single in-game animated moment, including brand-new additions.
Persona 4 Revival is a full-scale remake of the classic title, updating visuals, combat systems, and UI while preserving the beloved story in Inaba.
Fans can expect a modernized experience when the game launches on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a day-one debut on Xbox Game Pass.
Additionally, the developers confirmed that voice actress Abby Trott will provide the English voice for Rise Kujikawa.
With a legacy of beautiful cutscenes, the Persona series is clearly taking a bold step forward by partnering with one of the industry's most prestigious studios to bring this iconic journey to a new generation.
