Exciting news for fans of the God of War series!
At the June 2, 2026, PlayStation State of Play event, Sony officially announced the next chapter in the franchise: God of War: Laufey.
For the first time, players will step into the shoes of Faye, Kratos's powerful wife and a giant of Jötunheim.
Picking up immediately after her funeral from the 2018 game, the story follows Faye as she awakens in 'the Everywhen,' a mysterious afterlife realm.
There, she discovers her plans to protect Kratos and Atreus are at risk, forcing her to embark on an epic journey to save her family.
Developed by Santa Monica Studio, the game introduces a combat system that blends modern mechanics with classic, high-mobility style.
Players can expect fluid ground and air-based maneuvers as they utilize Faye’s sword and magical abilities.
While the official release date is currently to be confirmed, fans can wishlist the title on the PlayStation Store now to stay updated.
