In June 2026, Saudi Arabia made a powerful diplomatic appeal at the United Nations Security Council, calling for the immediate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Representing the Arab Group, Saudi officials stressed that vital supplies such as food and medicine must never be used as tools for political pressure or collective punishment.
The Kingdom asserted that international relief must remain separate from political negotiations to protect civilian lives.
This call comes amid a fragile humanitarian situation, even following the ceasefire that began in October 2025.
Saudi Arabia’s relief efforts are spearheaded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), which has facilitated the delivery of thousands of tons of aid through air, sea, and land routes.
Since the onset of the conflict, the Kingdom has utilized over 75 aircraft and eight vessels, often partnering with organizations to ensure supplies reach those in need.
Saudi Arabia maintains that any long-term regional stability is strictly contingent upon a two-state solution, with East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.
By emphasizing this position, the Kingdom continues to position the Palestinian cause as the central pillar for peace in the Middle East.
