Rockstar Confirms Recent Data Breach Won't Delay GTA VI
Rockstar Games has officially confirmed a data breach occurred in April 2026, linked to the hacker group 'ShinyHunters'.
The attackers gained unauthorized access to a third-party software service, Anodot, which allowed them to reach Rockstar's data warehouse.
Crucially, Rockstar confirmed that this incident will not cause any delays to the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, which remains on schedule for a November 19, 2026, release.
This event differs significantly from the 2022 incident involving Arion Kurtaj, which leaked early gameplay footage.
While security experts highlight the dangers of supply chain vulnerabilities, industry analysts believe the release timeline is stable.
