Following the successful finale of its first season on June 20, 2026, the acclaimed rakugo-themed anime Akane-banashi has officially been confirmed for a second season.

Based on the manga by Yūki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue, the series is produced by Studio ZEXCS under the direction of Ayumu Watanabe.
The first season introduced us to Akane Osaki, who is determined to become a master rakugo performer to avenge her father.
