On June 12, 2026, Canadian tech giant OpenText announced a significant €105 million investment in its Irish operations.
This initiative, the largest of its kind by a Canadian firm in Ireland, aims to establish a new Centre of Excellence in Cork and expand research and development in both Cork and Galway.
The project will create 400 high-skilled jobs over the next three years, effectively doubling OpenText's local presence.
Supported by IDA Ireland, this expansion centers on three key pillars: Agentic AI for autonomous tasks, Sovereign Cloud solutions for regional data control, and advanced cybersecurity to protect highly regulated industries.
As European organizations face increasingly complex regulatory demands, OpenText seeks to position itself as a trusted partner for secure digital operations.
By focusing on these critical areas, OpenText is reinforcing Ireland's status as a vital hub for global AI infrastructure and digital resilience.
