Oberlin College Hosts Inaugural Lecture on African Politics
Oberlin College is proud to announce the establishment of the Robert I.
Rotberg ’90 Annual Lecture in African Politics.
The inaugural event will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in the Craig Lecture Hall.
Catherine Boone, a distinguished professor from the London School of Economics, who will present her lecture, “Political Rupture in a Post-Liberal World: Changing Regionalisms in Africa.”
Her talk will analyze how shifting global powers and economic trends influence the internal governance and regional dynamics of African nations.
