North Dakota State softball celebrates 1,300th program win
On April 14, 2026, the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison softball team reached a historic landmark.
Celebrating their 51st season, the team recorded their 1,300th all-time victory in a thrilling home opener at Tharaldson Park.
The victory reflected the program's enduring grit; after falling behind early, the team erupted for 10 unanswered runs, highlighted by a home run from Mya Boos and a walk-off single by Amai Hanta.
Head coach Darren Mueller, now in his 24th season, has guided the team through a legacy that includes a 2000 Division II National Championship and numerous conference titles.
Achieving this milestone on home turf was a perfect tribute to the program's storied past and its vibrant future.
As the Bison continue their journey in the Summit League, the 1,300th win serves as a powerful reminder of the tradition and resilience that define North Dakota State softball.
